Our story

How we got here

After several missed connections -- including living one block apart in Somerville and Cody starting to bar tend at The Thirsty Ear one week after Teasha's last trivia -- we finally met at work. Well, according to Cody, at a mutual friend's wedding. We were friends first but quickly started sharing inside jokes and looking for excuses to walk by each other's desks. It didn't take long before Cody convinced Teasha, in the train station safely off work premises, it wouldn't be disastrous to date a coworker.

After a couple months, our first trip together was up to the family camp in Maine where Cody forgot to tell Teasha it was his mom's birthday... and she would in fact be meeting the whole family. Nevertheless, camp is a very special place to us, hosting friends and games, a few rock hounding trips, and, most importantly, our engagement.

The engagement ring Teasha wears was designed in Burlington, VT and made from a Herkimer diamond that we dug up together in upstate New York in spring of 2025 (see below, it was a little damp). Teasha had convinced Cody to come on his first mining expedition after which he pledged that he would "happily join your bucket brigade."

Over the last few years we have traveled many places together, run many miles, worked many long nights, always said yes to second coffee, supported each other through rough patches, spent time with each other's families, hosted several definitely-not-for-profit basement bars, survived moving houses, and generally built a life we are really excited about. We couldn't be happier to have you all join us to celebrate our marriage.
